  • Senior UX/Product Designer

    Are you an experienced Senior UX/Product Designer who cares about making a difference in the world, and is excited to make an impact at a growing SaaS startup? Join us at SupplyShift! We’re a VC-backed enterprise software platform that creates new levels of visibility in global supply chains to advance supplier responsibility across all topics and industries. We help companies ensure that their suppliers are responsible, and as a result, we improve supply chain environmental and social responsibility.

     

    We are looking for a Senior UX/Product Designer who will take on a project to overhaul our web-based product to make it simple, intuitive, and enable self-serve for SupplyShift users.

     

     

    Basic requirements and experience

    • 5+ years of related professional experience where you’ve contributed in shipping multiple products with stellar user experiences
    • You have lead end-to-end design effort of web-based B2B SaaS products in the past (more than one). Designing consumer products is a plus.
    • Familiar with methodologies necessary for designing user experience part of the product.
    • You feel comfortable to provide references so we will be able to speak with some of your previous customers.
    • Your availability
      • At least 80% dedicated for a certain period of time (2-3 months)
      • Available to come to our Santa Cruz office a couple of times a week during the main phase of the project
      • Available on a part-time basis after the main portion of the project is done (hourly rate engagement)

     

     

    You will be

    • Creating wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps and screen flows
    • Creating product prototypes
    • Defining personas and usage scenarios
    • Analyzing user feedback and activity, and iterating to enhance the user experience
    • Having a solid understanding of graphic design and web technologies, and of wireframing tools. A good grasp of design programs and tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, and InVision is also necessary. As a UX designer, you must have the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and a willingness to keep your skills and industry knowledge current.
    • Self-directed but also collaborative. You must possess superb communication, time-management, and process management skills.

    Responsibilities

    SupplyShift Project Manager is responsible for client relationship and project communication during the implementation phase of a project. You own and execute projects in compliance with the contracts and internal processes.  You lead the governance, timeline, resources, and scope of the project. You collaborate with all project partners.  You document project progress, risks, decisions, and overall project health.

     

    Key Activities

    • Delivery of ‘above and beyond’ customer service through all stages of the project.
    • Set priorities, plan workload, meet deadlines, and achieve the objectives for all Clients.
    • Be dedicated and work with your team as well as other functions to improve processes.
    • Think creatively about ways to improve the relationship with the customer.
    • Manage multiple client projects and prioritize activities.
    • Think on your feet to devise creative solutions to all problems that arise.
    • Understand and ensure Customer contractual commitments are being met.
    • Provide regular client project overviews and status reports.
    • Willingness to travel, as necessary.

     

    Basic Qualifications

    • Customer-facing Project Management experience
    • Confident speaking directly with customers
    • Self-motivated with demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills
    • Desire to work in a dynamic environment of a fast-paced technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to think clearly and analytically, solve problems, and prioritize work on project ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience
    • High level experience with MS Word, Excel, use of project management software

  • Sales Engineer

    At SupplyShift, the Sales Engineers (SE) collaborate with the sales account team acting as technical leads for the sales team and customers during the entire sales process. SE’s prepare technical presentations and perform customer demos.

     

    Direct Responsibilities 

    • Work closely with sales team on customer proposals and demos for sale activities including travel to customer sites or conferences, as necessary.
    • Preparing the business case or financial options for the sales team to support their proposals.
    • Research, create and deliver customer-focused presentations and customer-focused demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the SupplyShift value proposition.
    • Work closely with customers to understand and capture requirements and devise effective solutions.
    • Manage all aspects of RFP/RFI responses, completing all technical areas of RFP/RFI responses.
    • Ensuring that SupplyShift can effectively deliver on all the customer’s requirements in the time proposed.
    • Effectively communicate customer needs to the Product management team for future product enhancements through detailed written descriptions including number of accounts and priority.
    • Collect and document competitive intelligence for use by the sales account team.
    • Present and articulate SupplyShift’s platform strengths, features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
    • Update CRM with current information, updates and meetings on all active deals, companies and contacts.
    • Help sales team identify ways to solve customer barriers to moving forward in sales pipeline.
    • Partner with sales team to plan, prepare and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles.

     

    Skills needed for this Position

    • Technical understanding of cloud SaaS software
    • Ability to forge strong, trusting, and long-lasting relationships with customers
    • Very-detail oriented, with high level of accuracy in information presented
    • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to think clearly and analytically, solve problems, and prioritize work on project ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience
